Meet Gus.
He’s a producer at Coffee & TV, a full service creative studio where ideas are meticulously crafted into motion.
He is ridiculously creative and resourceful, and always has a project on the go, whether setting up a hydroponic growing system on his New Cross balcony or converting a bus into a holiday home.
He’s my younger brother ❤️
What is your experience of mental illness?
Work related stress
Not eating
Neck and back pain
Insomnia
What is your experience of getting better?
Once work calmed down my mental health improved and I felt better.
The experience helped me as I know my work threshold better and when to draw boundaries and set limits.
How do you maintain your mental health?
Exercising definitely helps but I'm poor at maintaining a routine.
Walking mainly, the occasional jog and some 5-a-side football.
I listen to podcasts to help me sleep.
Thank you Gus.
Sharing personal experiences of mental health helps normalise conversations about the previously stigmatised subject. This in turn helps people to talk more about their own mental health and ask for help when they need it.
