Phone free walks, envy and garden furniture
Things that have supported my wellbeing this week #28
Woodland walks
I spent a lunch break walking Vera in the woods. Dappled shade, no phone, must repeat regularly.
The importance of envy
An oldie but a goodie. I rewatched The School of Life’s film that explains how envy is not something to be ashamed of, but an emotion that can help us understand what we really want. Envy diaries for the win.
Presenting vulnerabilities
I talked about my experience of mental health in our team’s Monday morning meeting. It always feels good to share.
Outdoor spring clean
I jet washed the patio and built some garden furniture that is both comfy and cushion free — who can bear ferrying cushions about and storing them in the winter?! Not me. Now I can bask like a lizard in the sun (5 mins tops) before retreating under a new cantilever umbrella. Bliss. The flowerbeds are still over run with weeds and one panel of the fence remains unpainted, but hey, we can’t do it all.
Spring salad of dreams
Avocado, tomato, beetroot, mozzarella, balsamic vinaigrette and Maldon salt. Repeat.
Dopamine dressing
Dressing with colour brightens the day.
