About me

I’m Zoë Gibson Quirk, a brand strategist, writer, and social entrepreneur. I have worked at the world’s largest independent design agency, Pentagram, founded and run a more-than-profit business to change the way people shop, This Because, and now run a creative studio, Zo and Co, that uses collaboration, compassion and creativity to solve social and environmental challenges.

In 2017 I had a severe mental health crisis. Plagued by self-harm, weight loss and suicidal thoughts, I was diagnosed with severe anxiety and depression which resulted in me spending a fortnight in a psychiatric hospital.

Since my crisis, I have advocated to normalise mental illness as part of our daily lives. I share my learnings through writing for publications like Riposte, as a co-host of This Because, a podcast that explores how the way we live and work impacts the people and planet around us, and with practical tools like creating the Daily Six notepads, a concise way to track how the things you do each day impact the way you feel.

I am a Fellow of The RSA, a Nesta mentor and can be found on Instagram sharing the things I do daily to stay well.
